GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, receives and track articles for lost and found program. Provides telephone and clerical support as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. 30% - Responds to customer inquiries, complaints and/or commendations relative to lost and found articles. Answers incoming calls through the Lost and Found phone number; responds to mail inquiries and other written correspondence and provides face to face assistance to walk in customers.
  2. 30% - Processes intake of lost articles. Ensures lost articles are registered in the workflow, tagged, and stored properly.
  3. 15% - Maintains inventory report. Documents and tracks all activities relative to lost articles.
  4. 15% - Provides telephone support to call center. Answers and responds to customer calls regarding general information, trip planning or complaints.
  5. 10% - Provides general clerical support. Types, faxes documents, copies and files as needed.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
  3. Two (2) years related experience in an office or customer service environment.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Mgr Customer Care Center *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
