GENERAL SUMMARY:
Develops, maintains, coordinates, analyzes and reviews business and financial activities for the Revenue Administration section. This includes providing support for DART?s fare collection (ticket vending machines, fareboxes and PEMs), currency control and security systems. Provide fare collection training as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Serves as the primary and backup software application administrator to support the currency control system, security system, farebox and TVMs. Responsibilities include performing administrative, security, and technical support, software upgrade planning, troubleshooting, and other functions as assigned. Coordinates with other departments at DART such as IT, Maintenance and any third party vendors to ensure the systems are kept efficient, relevant, secure, and are performing at the level expected and/or needed for operations.
  2. Performs medium to complex analysis, reconciliation, and accounting related work of data related to the Revenue division business operations such as: Fare collection systems including ticket vending machines (TVMs), fareboxes, and any future devices used to collect fares. Requirements include analyzing and reporting on transactions and trends associated with cash, credit cards, and other means of payment;
  3. Develops, implements, and presents departmental and agency-wide training for various Revenue Division related systems.
  4. Proactively monitors the security camera for irregularities or security violations. Report all security breaches to manager.
  5. Performs routine servicing, tests, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs of the PEM devices.
  6. Performs cashbox audits and farebox probing analysis. Reports discrepancies to manager.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or related field.
  2. Three (3) years progressively responsible experience involving data analysis, management of projects, analysis of performance trends, and to include one (1) year experience in creating databases.
  3. Advanced level of computer software skills to create and manage databases, utilize macros, spreadsheets, etc. Proven ability to pull data and produce reports from various databases using SQL statements, Access, Oracle, and/or Crystal or other similar products.
  4. Ability to work independently to reach goals set by management.
  5. Ability to gather user requirements, create gap analysis, ensure development tasks are meeting user requirements, properly test and resolve issues and prioritize development.
  6. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  7. Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  8. Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  9. Ability to quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Sr Mgr Revenue Administration *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
