GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Agency Innovation Partnerships holds primary responsibility for creating and managing an effective business development pipeline in the North American market, generating opportunities for DART to extend its digital customer facing technology product suite to prospective partners in public and private sector. This role will build on DARTs extensive domain expertise and reputation in the digital fare revenue systems landscape, championing digital rider experience and advocating for the Agency. Additionally this individual will take a leadership role in identifying and capitalizing upon Grant opportunities and other funding avenues to support the long-term vision of DARTs Mobility as a Service framework.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Creates and develops a pipeline for this exciting new venture across the North American transit industry.
  2. Cultivates existing relationships and develops new opportunities with potential partners in the Americas region.
  3. Primary responsibility for sourcing and pursuing opportunities within the N. America transit industry.
  4. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to engineer solutions that align DARTs ongoing Agency interests existing and prospective Agency partners.
  5. Stays current with market trends and advocates for new market opportunities, supporting DARTs technology roadmap.
  6. Consistently uses relationship management with existing Transit agency and private sector partners.
  7. Creates collateral, conducts demonstrations and other content to support scalability goals of GoPass App solution.
  8. Continually works the pipeline and forecasting model for this new project.
  9. Interviews, recommends selection of, develops, evaluates, counsels, and if necessary, recommends termination of subordinate personnel.
  10. Understands and executes policies and procedures established by senior management.
  11. Develops section budget and submits for approval. Monitors budget for variances.
  12. Maintains confidentiality of credentials, components of statistical work, documents, proprietary system design and trade secrets.
  13. Travels to meet with partners and potential partners across North America as required for the role (up to 50%).
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field.
  2. Eight (8) years experience with government procurement methodology which includes influencing, evaluating, responding, and delivering against RFPs and three (3) years of strategic enterprise sales experience to include four (4) years of supervising a sales technical team.
  3. Ability to build on relationship management expertise, develop contacts with Transit agency and private sector partners.
  4. Ability to be customer experience focused, driving mutual success of projects being undertaken by DART.
  5. Ability to demonstrate strategic account planning skills.
  6. Ability to build on C-suite relationship management and technology consultation skills.
  7. Ability to be passionate for the transit industry and technology, and excitement to expand the customer base of GoPass App solution.
  8. Ability to be technically competent to speak with authority on mobile applications for MaaS sector.
  9. Ability to demonstrate excellent relationship management and development skills.
  10. Ability to be customer focused with high standards of quality and integrity.
  11. Ability to demonstrate a fiduciary obligation to section, division, department, and DART in handling materials and information of a confidential nature.
  12. Must be able to travel fifty (50%) percent of the time.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Chief Innovation Officer *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
