GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the quality of all changes that are moved into the DART IT production environment. Provides oversight for the development, documentation and execution of the testing strategies and procedures. Works closely with the application teams for all enterprise systems. Responsible for the regression, performance and functional testing for all enterprise systems including the backend ERP (Lawson, Trapeze and Spear) systems and the Web development (DART.org, DARTnet). Communicates quality results and issues clearly throughout the DART IT enterprise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensures DART Solutions are thoroughly tested and meet client requirements.
  2. Leads effort to develop, document, and execute testing strategies and procedures.
  3. Logs, tracks, and closes defects during the Testing Stage of Project Implementations using the MS Team Foundation server.
  4. Responsible for the execution of test cases and record and communicate results to organization.
  5. Provides leadership in the automation of all qualified test cases.
  6. Supervises the good use of testing strategies on projects.
  7. Spreads a high quality testing culture throughout the project delivery teams.
  8. Communicates test results and implications to project team members in the appropriate level of detail.
  9. Develops status reports based on test completion and test findings.
  10. Facilitates Client User Acceptance Tests (UATs).
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Seven (7) years experience in applications development using an enterprise testing suite to include two (2) to four (4) years experience managing a QA team.
  3. Mental ability to read complex documents and reports and concentrate on details.
  4. Analytical skills to find solutions to complex technical, and system problems.
  5. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of supervisory and non-supervisory employees, and others both inside and outside of DART.
  6. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  7. Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Can get messages across that have the desired effect.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Head of IT PMO & Fin Perf *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
