GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs regression, performance and functional testing for all enterprise systems including the backend ERP (Lawson, Trapeze and Spear) systems and the Web development (DART.org, DARTnet). The analyst will create test cases and automate the testing procedures when capable. The analyst should be familiar with working in both waterfall and agile environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensures DART Solutions are thoroughly tested and meet client requirements.
  2. Develops, documents, and executes testing strategies and procedures.
  3. Logs, tracks, and closes defects during the Testing Stage of Project Implementations using the MS Team Foundation server.
  4. Executes test cases and record and communicate results to organization.
  5. Automates all qualified test cases.
  6. Supervises the good use of testing strategies on projects.
  7. Spreads a high quality testing culture throughout the project delivery teams.
  8. Communicates test results and implications to project team members in the appropriate level of detail.
  9. Develops status reports based on test completion and test findings.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Seven (7) years experience in applications development using an enterprise testing suite.
  3. Knowledge of different testing methodologies, including functional, integration, load, and regression testing.
  4. Knowledge with test automation is a plus.
  5. Mental ability to read complex documents and reports and concentrate on details.
  6. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  7. Ability to make good decisions (without considering how much time it takes) based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment). Most of his/her solutions and suggestions turn out to be correct and accurate when judged over time. Sought out by others for advice and solutions.
  8. Ability to understand technical concepts, problems and issues quickly. Can learn new skills and knowledge. Is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge. Learns quickly and performs well in technical courses and seminars.
  9. Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Conveys effective messages that produce the desired effect.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Head of IT PMO & Fin Perf *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
