GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Head of Information Management and Business Analysis is a newly created position responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of the enterprise data analytics and decision support for DART. This person will be a member of the leadership team responsible for managing and working across complex cross-functional projects and teams to support data analytics at DART. The Head of Information Management will use relationship building and influence to work with key leaders and stakeholders to prioritize analytics requirements, establish dashboards and KPI reporting to support and influence business decisions. This role will require someone who is dedicated to analytics, with the ability to create simplicity within a complex operational environment to help move the business forward.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Creates and manages DART Enterprise dashboards, key reporting and business decision support information.
  2. Creates actionable analytics to lead the business to new opportunities.
  3. Collaborates with key internal groups including applications, IT operations and PMO to ensure the production of KPI reporting and dashboards.
  4. Leads, mentors and manages the activities of managers and individual contributors.
  5. Creates and maintains best practices, standards and procedures to meet operational objectives.
  6. Evaluates current state tooling and new trending tools and techniques for crating actionable analytics.
  7. Leads special projects as required, often involving coordination of a cross-functional team.
  8. Ability to work with senior management to influence the operations and business direction of the customer support organization. Responsible for solving highly technical and complex problems.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science or related field.
  2. Ten 10+ years of combined experience in an information analytic environments environment, covering both Big Data reporting and Complex Event Processing responsibilities in technical, analyst, and management roles to include five 5+ years experience with managing/leadership experience within complex IT organizations.
  3. Ability to work independently to fulfill defined analytical goals.
  4. Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, negotiating and organizational skills.
  5. Excellent problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  6. Proven business interaction with other business functions and management within a service management or enterprise analytic context.
  7. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, gaining their trust and respect.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to EVP Admininstrative Officer *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
