GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Head of Information and Network Security is a newly created position responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of the enterprise system and data security for DART. This person will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for managing and working across complex cross-functional projects and teams to support the defined security standards at DART. The Head of Information and Network Security will use relationship building and influence to work with key leaders and stakeholders to prioritize security goals and establish industry best practices. Equally important are the responsibilities for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity of technology operations and processes. This role will require someone who is dedicated to security, disaster recovery and business continuity. The incumbent must have the ability to create simplicity within a complex operational environment to help move the business forward.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Creates and manages DART Enterprise Security Policies.
  2. Approves enterprise architecture to provide for information security
  3. Develops standards and influences senior management as well as peers on strategy.
  4. Collaborates with key internal groups including applications, IT operations and PMO to ensure the production of high quality and secure products.
  5. Provides management support for reporting and investigating breaches of security controls.
  6. Leads, mentors and manages the activities of managers and individual contributors.
  7. Creates and maintains best practices, standards and procedures to meet operational objectives.
  8. Ensures services provided for network security implement protection, goals and initiatives to meet and comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  9. Leads special projects as required, often involving coordination of a cross-functional team.
  10. Administers risk assessments and information and network security training to uphold enterprise IT & Network security measures.
  11. Responsible for solving highly technical and complex problems.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Information Security, Computer Science or related field.
  2. Ten + years of combined experience in an information/network security operations environment, covering both Event Management and Incident Management responsibilities in technical, analyst, and management roles to include five + years experience with managing/leadership within complex IT organizations.
  3. Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, negotiating and organizational skills.
  4. Excellent problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  5. Proven business interaction with other business functions and management within a service management or security context.
  6. Ability to analyze and solve complex security and service operations issues, and to efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
  7. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  8. Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Delivers messages that have the desired effect.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to EVP Admininstrative Officer *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
