GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for defining, configuring/developing, testing, analyzing and maintaining Kronos Workforce Central Application System (Timekeeping, Scheduling, Attendance and Analytics) including identifying, evaluating, analyzing and recommending changes to support the KRONOS system environment, production, maintenance and troubleshooting. Primary responsibility of the KRONOS Systems Administrator is to ensure that Kronos Workforce Central System is optimally operational and functioning at all time. Collaborates in a team environment ad independently with Business partners, Technology teams and vendors on projects, support activities, applications development and standardization. Responsible for working with Business partners to gather requirements, configuring solutions within Kronos and developing WIM and other custom interfaces including support of interfaces with LAWSON (Payroll, HC and Finance) Trapeze, TeleStaff and other Enterprise systems, document requirements and configuration changes, train existing users on all KRONOS- related procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensures Timekeeper, Advanced Scheduling, Absence Management and Attendance Application is operating accurately, effectively and reflects required business rules. Responsible for proactively creating reports, analyzing data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and scalability. Maintains schedule reports, workflow notifications, navigator display and time clock functionalities. Troubleshoots employee enrollment Bio-metric or PC based, interface errors, access, functional, Hyper-find and schedule issues.
  2. Performs maintenance (configuration, re-configurations, upgrades, enhancements, implementation) defines test plans, scripts and lead Integration and user acceptance testing activities as well as promoting to production. Removes or grant user access to Kronos systems, perform periodic user security and access audits, monitor and edit employee profiles/demographics in compliance with stakeholders directions. Sets up new employee groups, establishes and updates delegation profiles and monitors issues, configures pay rules or accrual policies according to Payroll and HC directions.
  3. Develops and Maintains interfaces to other enterprise applications with Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) or other programming language or Tool. Monitor Interfaces between Kronos, HC, Payroll and other Enterprise systems.
  4. Responsible for documenting processes, procedures and system configuration, coordinating and managing tasks for system maintenance with Internal and external providers, follows Technology Project Management methodology standards, maintaining logs and documenting resolution of all Kronos incidents.
  5. Accountable and responsible with the Technology Change Advisory Board in relation to any Incidents, Problems or Change Requests related to the Kronos Software and Cloud environment.
  6. Assists HCIS in creating and maintaining Leave, sick or other plan configurations, related tables, group enrollment criteria, group enrollments and plan balances.
  7. Kronos Technical Point of Contact for Business Community, communicates with all levels of users and assists in Quality Control.
  8. Develops and conduct user training.
  9. Performs other job functions as assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science/Engineering, Math or related field.
  2. Eight (8) years of demonstrated functional applications experience implementing and supporting Kronos Workforce Central 6.2 Application or higher including one (1) year of experience with Kronos Paragon tool and methodology, one (1) year of experience working with Kronos InTouch clocks and two (2) years of experience in Workforce Integration Manager (WIM).
  3. Knowledge of Hardware & software Architecture.
  4. Ability to create and deliver end user training.
  5. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  6. Ability to pick up on technical issues and problems quickly. Can learn new skills and knowledge. Is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge. Does well in technical courses and seminars.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Enterprise App Delivery Leader*

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
