GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the leadership, management, and growth of rider and revenue relationships through advertising sales, corporate pass sales, business development, and call center management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the leadership, management, and growth of rider and revenue relationships through advertising sales, corporate pass sales, business development, and call center management.
  2. Lead key top-to-top interface with identified companies to develop business relationships for pass sales, advertising, and/or sponsorship opportunities.
  3. Oversees revenue-generating advertising and sponsorship sales contracts by interfacing with the agencies and identifying potential new sources of revenue within scope to meet and exceed contractual ad sales targets.
  4. Lead and manage the corporate pass sales group through strategy development, goal setting, and the identification of sales training to increase corporate sales riders penetration, and the number of entities signed up.
  5. Lead process improvement within the call center to upgrade efficiencies and effectiveness regarding customer service as measured by improved customer engagement.
  6. Oversees, leads, and directs call center day-to-day activities through the efforts of a Call Center Manager and Supervisors.
  7. Manage Union relationships within the call center to align on policy matters and aid in transparency of operations.
  8. Participates in the establishment of long-range plans and objectives regarding business development to engage in sponsorships and advertising.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
  2. Twelve (12) years progressively responsible management experience in corporate sales, marketing, or a related field includes six (6) years supervising professional staff and/or six (6) years of experience managing a sales team.
  3. A high level of proficiency using a personal computer (PC) includes software applications such as databases, word processing, and spreadsheet.
  4. High level of analytical ability to find solutions to complex interpersonal, financial, legal, administrative, professional, and technical problems.
  5. Ability to demonstrate a fiduciary obligation to the section, division, department, and DART in handling materials and information of a sensitive or confidential nature.
  6. Ability to work extended hours to meet management and Board deadlines.
  7. Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; maintains effective relationships with customers, and gains their trust and respect.
  8. Can write clearly and succinctly in various communication settings and styles; can get messages across to have the desired effect.
  9. Able to communicate complex information in a way that is grammatically correct and understood by most listeners. Can understand and clarify complicated messages. Uses persuasive arguments and appropriate nonverbal behaviors. Able to research and understand complex technical information.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to VP and Chief Marketing Officer*

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
