GENERAL SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility is to assist in the development of processes and procedures to collect and analyze data, and to identify trends concerning the flow of operations and the supply chain. Position is also responsible for the actual collection of data, analysis, and reporting findings (typically graphically) to the Assistant Vice President, Procurement. Participates in interdisciplinary projects and groups to achieve maximum supply chain efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collects, processes, and maintains data for analysis. Develops supply chain reports and metrics. Collects data and analyzes trends in the flow of construction, operations, and maintenance materials and equipment from manufacturer to end user to maximize supply chain efficiency
  2. Monitor supplier performance to asses ability to meet quantity and delivery requirements
  3. Monitors the external environment and internal trends to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) in supply chain management
  4. Participates in inter-departmental task forces charged with improving supply chain performance in support of Supply Chain Operations.
  5. Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  6. Provides detailed analysis of end to end performance. Documents, tracks and reports the flow of construction, operations, and maintenance materials and equipment between requestor, approver, buyer, vendor, freight forwarder, receiving HUB and receiving site to ensure items are being delivered from the vendor, properly received at the freight forwarder, receipts and invoices match and payments are authorized in a timely manner
  7. Designs automated methods to enable more efficient capture of supply chain data. Create system queries to collect and analyze data pertaining to request processing times, order ship times, receipt processing times and design reports, including graphs, tables and charts representing findings
  8. Monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  1. Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
  2. Four (4) years of experience in Data Analysis or in Logistics analysis.
  3. Intermediate level experience and skills operating MS-Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point. Strong knowledge of databases and spreadsheets
  4. Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritizes and execute against multiple priorities
  5. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines
  6. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Sr Mgr Procurement *

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
